1. Running shoes
Wearing old shoes or shoes that do not fit your foot shape or running style can cause injuries. Therefore, a pair of old tennis shoes from the cupboard is definitely not good for running. You need a new pair of running shoes with good stability, fit, suitable for your foot shape and running style.
It is best to go to a special running shoe store, where the clerk (if professional enough) will help you choose the right shoes according to your foot shape. You don’t have to choose the most expensive style, but choosing a good pair of shoes can not only prevent injuries but also increase running comfort.
2. Clothes
When you first start running, don’t rush to buy advanced running equipment, just wear comfortable clothes.
Women should wear sports underwear that fits and supports well. Generally speaking, sports underwear will be replaced after 72 washes. If the elasticity is not good or the weight changes significantly, the underwear should be replaced in time.
If you go for a run, be careful not to wear too much.
3. Wearing synthetic fiber clothes can keep the skin dry and warm in winter; in summer, it can absorb sweat to avoid skin inflammation. Professional fiber running clothes are a bit expensive, but very comfortable, especially when running long distances.
4. Wearing mixed fiber socks can effectively prevent blisters. Try to wear 100% cotton socks as little as possible. Pure cotton socks have poor perspiration performance. Once you sweat in winter, you will feel clammy and cold; in summer, blisters are easy to develop. The most suitable socks for running are materials with good water absorption properties, such as polyester fiber, acrylic fiber and bamboo fiber. In winter, wearing wool blends is also a good choice. Some runners choose to wear double socks to prevent blisters.
